HiveSuite alternative for one-van firms
HiveSuite isn’t removals software. It’s a job app for UK trades, with one page pitched at man and van firms, and it runs the diary, invoices and crew well. What it won’t do is price a move for you: every quote is built by hand. Here’s how it lines up against Kwotly, and when it’s the better pick.
Who HiveSuite is built for
HiveSuite is job management software for UK trades and mobile service firms: plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, cleaners, event hire and the like, from one person up to teams with fifty office logins. It’s made by HiveSuite Limited, registered in England and Wales. The founder, Liam Newton, built it in 2023 for one trades business; it went out to others as NXPortal in 2024 and was rebuilt and renamed HiveSuite in 2025.
Its removals angle is one page for man and van software, which says it’s used by man and van operators, small removal firms and couriers. Nothing in it is built for moves: no volume or van-size estimating, no home surveys, no storage. You build every quote by hand from line items (hourly rates, fixed prices, mileage, extra labour, packing), and an assistant in it can draft those lines from a short description of the job. The enquiry form for your website makes a customer record and a draft quote, which you still have to price.
Round the quote it’s a proper back office, and every plan gets all of it. The customer accepts online and can pay a card deposit through Stripe. Then there’s a drag-and-drop diary that stops double bookings and shows the day on a map, invoices with a pay link, Xero and QuickBooks, a customer login, two-way texts paid for in credits, a crew app, and MOT, tax and insurance reminders for the vans. The crew app is a proper Android app that works offline; on iPhone it’s a web app that needs a signal, while the iPhone app waits for App Store approval.

Questions people ask
How much does HiveSuite cost?
On its own website, 2 November 2026, with VAT included: Solo is £34.99 a month or £349 a year for one office login and two crew, then Small Team £89.99, Growing Team £149.99, Professional £249.99 and Enterprise £499.99 a month. Every plan has every feature; you pay for logins. There’s a 30-day free trial with no card, no set-up fee, and it’s month to month. Texts are paid in credits, and it doesn’t publish what extra credits cost. Check their pricing page before you decide.
Is HiveSuite removals software?
No. It’s job management for UK trades and mobile service firms, with one page aimed at man and van operators. It has no volume or van-size estimating, no home surveys and no storage, so you price every move yourself from line items. It’ll run a removals firm’s diary and invoices fine; it just won’t help you get to the price.
Is HiveSuite good for a one-van firm?
For the back office, yes, and Solo at £34.99 a month inc. VAT is fair for what’s in it. Where it falls short for a mover is the quote: an enquiry from your website lands as a draft you still have to price. If the hard part of your week is getting prices out before somebody else does, a tool built for pricing moves does more of that job for you.
When is HiveSuite the better pick?
When moves are only part of what you do, or when you want one app for the diary, invoices, deposits, a crew app and Xero or QuickBooks, and you’re happy to price each job yourself. It takes a card deposit when the customer accepts, which Kwotly doesn’t do yet. One thing to know: phone support starts on the £149.99 Growing Team plan, so Solo and Small Team get email.
Can I use Kwotly alongside HiveSuite?
Yes. Price the enquiry in Kwotly, then put the booked job into HiveSuite’s diary and invoice it from there. Try it on a week of new enquiries: 10 quotes a month are free with no card, so it costs nothing to find out.
