Cerrax alternative for one-van firms

Cerrax is a new UK removals system that costs what we do, £39 or £79 a month, after a free month. The difference is the work: with Cerrax you build the item list and it prices the job, with Kwotly the enquiry lands priced from the customer’s photos or list. Here’s how they line up, and when Cerrax is the better pick.

About Cerrax

Who Cerrax is built for

Cerrax is brand new. Josh Fenwick built it after moving house in the summer of 2026 and asking two local firms to quote the same job. It’s sold to UK removals firms from sole traders to established firms, and it’s open in 15 countries.

The heart of it is the price. You build the job room by room from 231 item types, or say or paste a list and confirm each item it suggests, then add the postcodes and access. It works out the day behind the price (hours, crew, vans and days) and every line shows its working. Until about twenty finished jobs are in, prices come from reference rates and your own settings, and every quote says so.

Around that it does a lot for the money: an enquiries list, a quote page with your terms and a deposit on acceptance, a diary that feeds your calendar, a crew app, review requests, Xero and Sage, WhatsApp from your own number, an address lead sites can send enquiries to, and van reminders. It runs in the browser, with nothing to install.

Questions people ask

How much does Cerrax cost?

On its own website, 2 November 2026: one month free with no card, then £39 a month for up to 75 quotes, £79 for up to 250 or £129 for up to 600. Those are founding-firm prices, kept while you stay subscribed; they say general pricing will be higher. There’s no VAT on top (their terms say they aren’t VAT registered), no set-up fee, no contract and no charge per user. Over 600 quotes a month, you talk to them. Check their pricing page before you decide.

Cerrax and Kwotly cost the same, so what’s the difference?

The paid prices match: £39 and £79 a month. Kwotly gives more quotes for each (100 and 300, against their 75 and 250) and a free plan that doesn’t end, though Cerrax doesn’t charge or block you when you go over. Cerrax puts your whole team on every plan; Kwotly’s team logins are on Pro. The big difference is how the price gets made: in Cerrax you build the item list, in Kwotly the customer’s photos or list do it and you check it.

Does Cerrax price from the customer’s photos?

Not on their own, going by its website. It suggests items from what you say or type, or from a photo of a written list, and you confirm every one. A video from the customer is something you watch: nothing in it becomes a price until you’ve confirmed what’s there. With Kwotly the customer photographs the rooms or types a list, and the enquiry lands priced at your rates for you to check and send. The photo scanner reads up to 40 house moves a month on Starter and 60 on Pro; past that, you price those from their photos and list.

Is Cerrax good for a one-van firm?

Yes, it’s built to cover sole traders, it’s fairly priced and it does a lot for the money. Two things to weigh up. You build every item list yourself, which is fine on a quiet week and slow on a busy one. And it’s brand new, from 2026, with prices settling in from reference rates until about twenty finished jobs are in. If you’ve got crews and want an app for them, it’s a better fit than us.

Can I try Kwotly alongside Cerrax?

Yes, and it costs nothing to find out. Cerrax gives you a free month and Kwotly is free for 10 quotes a month, so put your rates into both and price the same week of enquiries in each. Keep whichever gets the price out quicker and closer to what you’d have charged.

Try it on your next enquiry

Run Kwotly next to whatever you use now, on real enquiries, for a week. 10 quotes a month are free with no card, so if it doesn’t earn its keep you’ve lost nothing.
